Not too long ago, production company “Buddha Jones” posted a couple of videos for their work on DC x Warner Bros’ SUICIDE SQUAD - showcasing the animation work / VFX and MOE for the opening sequence, character profiles and closing credits. I was lucky enough to have caught the clips (and screenshot some images) before they were both pulled off Vimeo.

Catch the video above for the VFX (before this gets pulled) and enjoy the memories of these sequences, before the DVD/Blu-ray comes out :)

Deathstroke for #TheBatman?

First he teases fans with THIS video clip showcasing a character dressed as mercenary / assassin “Deathstroke” (of course it’s a test footage to see the costume :p), then comes word that Deathstroke would indeed be the main villain for Ben Affleck-directed “The Batman” stand alone film. And is actor Joe Manganiello up for the role of “Slade Wilson”?

Why would Deathstroke be in “Justice League”? Unless JL is going against the “Injustice League” (would be awesome tho), or Deathstroke could a throwaway character in a montage where the JL-members face against multiple super-villains. What do you folks think? How would you prefer Deathstroke to be depicted as on the silver screens?

So many questions. No official announcements from Warner Bros. Marketing succeeds in getting the internets excited. BAM!

BTW: Everybody credits Manganiello for his role in “Magic Mike”, but I’d rather remember him as “Grinder” in Schwarzenegger’s “Sabotage” - with his imposing physique, I’d be more than overjoyed to see him in action against the Dark Knight Detective on-sceen!

HARLEY QUINN-ccentric Songs from #SuicideSquad

“You Don’t Own Me” by Grace featuring G-Eazy (not official MV tho) - begins this particular post featuring music videos with Suicide Squad’s HARLEY QUINN front—n-center! Critics can slam the movie for all it's worth, but the presence and impact of Harley cannot be denied, especially for THIS generation of folks, IMHO.

In an age where a murdering mercenaries like "Deadpool" gets the thumbs-up from impressionable viewers, characters like Harley might well prove to be a "heroine" to many a folks grappling with similar toxic relationships and reactions to the real world, so do not take for granted the imagery, and even songs related to her ... but of course I sound like a fossil from the previous generation (twice removed), innit?

From Avril Lavigne comes “Bad Girl” (MV below), featuring Marilyn Manson - which to me a quite a grab for the headlines, as they are titans from an earlier generation, and inserted to perhaps pacify said generation? LOL

The MV directly featured above is “Gangsta” - performed by Kehlani - with the track heard in the sequence where “Harleen Quinzel” (pre-“Harley Quinn”) jumps into the chemical vat, and The Joker jumping in after her (bootleg footage feature below). "Inane" dialog to most adults, no doubt... but mayhap emotionally meaningful to the "now"?

I am not here to judge. I don't need to judge. :)

J: Question. Would you die for me?
H: Yes.
J: That's too easy. Would you... would you live for me? Hmm?
H: Yes.
J: Careful. Do not say this oath thoughtlessly. Desire becomes surrender, surrender becomes power.
J: You want this?
H: I do.
J: Say it. Say it. SAY IT!
J: Pretty (x7) please.
H: Please.
J: Aww god you're so GOOD.

If you speak Mandarin, you'd know her lips actually does seem to say "Why Is There No WIFI?" ("為什麼沒有WIFI?") - heh.
