Folks like to hate on SUICIDE SQUAD quite a bit, and I’ve read more hate and vile spewed (*over-exaggeration, perhaps) on it, than I have read/heard “positive things”. Pity.

As a person of the latter persuasion, I had actually enjoyed the film in it’s theatrical edition, and upon watching the “Extended Cut”, I heart this film MORE!

It might be just 12+minutes worth, but this version slightly edges towards “4” over my previous 3 x Popcorns (over 5), so deal with it :)

Characters are further fleshed out, be it “motivations”, or simple characterisations that show them beyond the simplistic cut-outs (which worked for me, I’m not looking for too layer or nuanced a performance about “evil-doers” lol), including the cliched “bro”-moment between Deadshot and Rick Flag (below), which left me cringing but smiling, I admit … and with the extras/deletes, the role of “Harley Quinn” has become a much more interesting character to be seen in her sequel solo film! … but, maybe that’s just me :)

You know what people say about the extended cut of #sucidesquad being a film we should have seen in the cinemas? IT'S TRUE. Am while it does not alter the film THAT much, what it does provide the film is/was a whiff of character depth that is/was needed to push the film up a notch. I for one am utterly glad I decided to watch it again (5th time already, maybe! Hahaha ok maybe 4th). If you haven't watched this film and had a choice, I'd recommend the extended version without a doubt. #popcornx #hatersaregonnahate

Above is the “Extended Joker Arkham Scene” where he escapes his cell and tortures Dr Quinzel, while directly below is the behind-the-scenes clip of said footage.


Harleen Quinzel chases The Joker, in this scene which shows Dr Quinzel confronting the Joker over him escaping her “love”, which I thought was a very interesting scene to be had, IMHO.


“Harley Vexing The Squad” while they head towards the “swirling trash in the sky” - is an utterly interesting sequence where Harley tries to mindf**k Killer Croc, and Katanna removes her mask! “Don’t act like a drunken stripper”! says Deadshot hahaha.

Pace-wise, I’d understand this might pull the film down, but “character wise”, this made a much better support for Harley’s “crazy”, not just in action, methinks!

The Joker’s Tattoos (#SuicideSquad)

Here’s a closer look at the tattoos on actor Jared Leto’s “JOKER” as seen in the SUICIDE SQUAD movie … a film I enjoyed but for the uninspiring tattoo images seen here (the arrow in a “robin” was a nice touch, only seen here in the video hahaha), with the designs like someone who picked them out of a image-clip book - of an exact same style of a singular tattooist - and thought they looked like they “told a story”, but instead no one felt interested enough, but for the video shown here.

This makes The Joker here uncreative, and utterly “fake”, not the clown prince of crime people hold him up in a pedestal to be … “pimp-daddy-joker” with tasteless tattoos! hahahaha

No, I do not blame Mr Leto at all, I blame whoever signed off on these. Felt like “suits” who though this would be “cool” hahahaha

And no, I do not have a tattoo on my body, so I would not know how to appreciate the tattoos on the Joker’s body … but I reckon if anyone would tattoo the Joker’s body, would be the Joker himself, and it would be mind-blindingly warped like his brains were.

A couple of videos showcasing behind-the-scenes "Suicide Squad" footage of "The Joker" and "Harley Quinn", whose "relationship goals" seems to be aligned with a lot of post-millennial GenZ'ers, contrary to old fogeys like myself (*cough*), and is at the very least an "observation" of this generation, rather than a commentary, methinks. But then again, I'm one of the folks who enjoyed the SUICIDE SQUAD, as opposed to the deluge of hate spewed on online channels (think "Facebook", with more words to be had than 140 characters hahaha).

Wonder Woman : Official Trailer & Posters

The first Full Trailer for WONDER WOMAN has debut, alongside a trio of poster images, showcasing Gal Gadot as the Amazonian Princess, out in “Man’s World” circa World War One!

More of the story is revealed in this trailer, along with fantastical fight-scene doing to the previous teasers … alas the scant few words uttered, seen somewhat “suspect”, but it would be fairer to see and hear more, I reckon.

Wonder Woman is in U.S. theaters June 2, 2017.

Comicave Studios exhibited at the China International Comic Festival 2016 just, where they featured their latest new line "True Material”, with the SUICIDE SQUAD as their debut series!

Truthfully, I’ve been wrecking my brain as to what collectibles I want to get of the SUICIDE SQUAD characters - heck, I like the movie and want to somehow keep the entire squad - with Hot Toys’ 1/6th out of my financial reach, and the Mattel figures are not much cheaper off, I’d thought to get busy with the Cosbaby versions … but now, NOW I KNOW WHAT I WANT! Exept for this nagging feeling the OG Harley Quinn ReAction figure might end up being someone’s “Exclusive Edition” dammit….

Director Zak Snyder “celebrates” the last day of filming Ben Affleck as “Batman” in the upcoming Justice League movie, to show the new “Tactical Batsuit”!

Does it remind you of Nite Owl in his Watchmen? Or have we seen enough of a “tactical” ala Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy? Doesn’t matter really, it only works as a new action figure / toy … sorry, I cannot help but think this way- apologies to the costume designers and art department folks who work in this for a living :p
